Skills

Specialist in general mechanics as well as machining small and medium series of bars ranging from Ø 2 to Ø 65mm and billets up to 250mm, our workshop manages codesign, industrialization, and the realization of sets and subassemblies, as well as material supply, heat treatment, surface treatment, and all superfinishing operations (grinding, honing, polishing) among others.

We also have measuring tools adapted to our production, such as a contourgraph, measuring column, roughness meter, 2D camera, and traditional tools, as well as a press for impact marking or presses for broaching, stamping, or crimping operations.

Thanks to the infrastructure of the PERROTTON Group, from its machine park to its experienced teams, our production capacities are unlimited, allowing us to explore other technical perspectives and sectors in medium and large series.

THE STRENGTH OF A GROUP

A major player in medium and large series turning primarily for the automotive industry, the PERROTTON Group is also supported by companies that are leaders in their field, such as MINESCO, an expert in precision micro-turning, operating in markets such as connectors, home automation, watchmaking, health, fluids, and automotive.

Since 2023, MANTI, located in MINESCO's facilities in La Roche-sur- Foron, specializes in plastic machining for the production of parts in electronics, computing, aerospace, medical, and automotive industries. A great synergy brought together by exceptional skills to offer a very wide range of machined parts to a varied clientele.

OUR HISTORY

A GREAT FAMILY OF ENTHUSIASTS

As the Beatles' last concert takes place in San Francisco, Henri Durandard, an independent craftsman since 1959, founded the eponymous company in 1966 as a corporation specializing in precision mechanical machining in Cluses, Rhône-Alpes, at the heart of the Mont-Blanc valley.

After decades of developments and production of high value-added parts in various fields such as aeronautics, railways, and hydraulics, DURANDARD, still family-owned, joined the PERROTTON Group in 2022 in Pontchy near Bonneville to increase its production possibilities and approach the future with great prospects for growth.

The DURANDARD company is above all the adventure of passionate men for the world of precision turning. Far more than just a profession, it is a culture, a tradition, and a strong identity that brings the Arve Valley to life, to which they are deeply attached.

It is a passion passed down from generation to generation, and the founder's descendants present in the company are proud to perpetuate this heritage, know-how, and capacity to innovate.

Today, they are still constantly striving for performance, quality, and competitiveness. It is through contact with their clients that they have developed over the years, rigor, reliability, and mastery of precision.

    • Henri Durandard starts his turning activity as an independent craftsman with a single machine.
    • Henri Durandard founds the Henri Durandard establishments as a corporation.
    • The company reaches up to 48 employees.
    • With the rise of numerically controlled machines, the workforce decreases to 40 employees, generating a revenue of 15 million Francs.
    • Yves Durandard, Henri’s son, takes over as general manager. Henri Durandard passes away the following year.
    • The Perrotton group takes over Durandard’s activities, relocating to its Bonneville factory.
